Assailed!
There has never been such a time in history as now, when information, data and opinion were so readily available to us, right in our faces and clamouring for our attention.
Once limited to hearsay in small communities, these 'voices' enlarged through newspapers then to TV. Nowadays we are assailed through social media via computer, tablet, and mobile phone every second of the day, if we allow it.
Threatened!
This can pose a severe threat to followers of Christ whose Number One desire is to tune into God and their ‘home country’ in order to bring heaven to earth in their daily lives. Imposters can scramble God’s spiritual frequency and so interrupt His transmitting heart of love and purpose.
It is vital that we are spiritually aware of the current times
and know how to deal with this voluminous phenomenon.
Agendas
We know that a Christian’s battle is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12) but against principalities and powers that scheme against us. One item on hell’s agenda is to water down the purity of Christ within us, so that we merely reproduce what we see and hear around us rather than transform the earth with His revelatory Kingdom.
A Strategy
Three keys to keep the voices out!
Give God space at the beginning of each day by,
1. Returning to your first love (Revelation 2:4-5)
2. Renewing you mind (Romans 12:1-2)
3. Practicing the presence of God (Galatians 5:25)
