Prayer Power

Travelling by car recently I found myself behind some very slow moving traffic.
My first reaction was to complain to God,
"Why does this always happen on this hill? It's so frustrating!"

Stuck in traffic!
Stuck in traffic!

In the next moment, I felt His gentle reproof,
"That's one reason why you're here. To pray for others who are also annoyed by this hold up. You have the answer in Christ. So start praying for them."

So, I repented of my attitude and started to pray God's Peace and Strength for the other motorists. Within two minutes we were all up to the top of the hill. And, best news of all, the big truck that had been the reason for the slow climb was now hurtling down the other side, with the rest of us chasing after it, which felt a lot better! We were all happily on our way towards our destinations, my complaint long forgotten.

On our way...
On our way...

Thought for the month

Let's not linger for too long on a troubling issue, but enter into prayer until we see the overcoming victory of Jesus.

"Tremendous power is released through the passionate,
heartfelt prayer of a godly believer!"
(James 5:16 TPT)
