One day I was having a conversation with a teacher. He was longing, but failing, to touch his work environment with the presence of God. Suddenly he stopped me in mid-sentence and elatedly declared, ‘I left Jesus at the school gate!’ It was a eureka moment for him. If we are passionate about bringing God’s kingdom into our everyday working lives it is our spiritual identity in-Christ that provides our start point, not our system’s identity.
